Mr Portela joined Youth Co-Op in 2000. He began his career in education as a paraprofessional, which led to a position as a middle school English teacher. From there, he advanced to the role of Test Chair before eventually becoming an assistant principal in 2017. He is a true team player and a champion of education. He is loved by his students and has positively impacted the lives of many of our YCPS Tigers!
