Ms. Connie Perez-Borroto assumed the role of president and CEO of Youth Co-Op, Inc. in 2020. Backed by 37 years of professional experience in nonprofit administration, Ms. Perez-Borroto is an executive who extends her diversified experience to the organization.
Connie began her lifelong career with Youth Co-Op as a youth counselor in 1987 for the summer. Through her work, she developed a strong passion for supporting young people. Before establishing herself and her role in the community as the head of Youth Co-Op, Ms. Perez-Borroto worked with the organization in various roles and as a Miami-Dade County Public Schools employee gaining valuable professional expertise.
Connie Perez-Borroto, a longstanding and dedicated community leader, has been instrumental in securing funding and partnerships from national, state, and local sources, which have enabled the agency to continue positioning itself as one of the leading agencies in providing life-changing services to youth, families, older adults and immigrants.
Connie’s community involvement includes being a United Way of Miami-Dade County Emergency Food and Shelter Program Local Board Member and a Miami-Dade County Age Friendly Initiative Stakeholder Advisory Committee member. She actively participates as a member of the American Society for Public Administration, Society of Human Resources Management, Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key Honor Society, Trustee Member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and volunteers in her local church, Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church as the Historian for the Women’s Club.
Connie is a strong believer in education. She holds a Master of Science in Public Administration with a Concentration in State and Local Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Nova Southeastern University and an Associate of Arts in Psychology from Miami-Dade Community College. She has earned LEAN SIX SIGMA Belt Certifications, a Certification as a Florida Workforce Professional and she is certified in ALICE Training for Business.
As president and CEO, Connie is committed to bringing quality programs to Florida that have a positive impact in the community. The cornerstone of her success lies in her passion for helping others and her drive to deliver real results. Looking toward the future, Ms. Perez-Borroto aims to become a leader who inspires others to reach their full potential.
In her spare time, Connie enjoys spending time with her family and travel.
