Internships and Mentoring
Internships
By providing paid and unpaid internship opportunities, Youth Co-Op seeks to help youth, ages 16 to 24, gain skills and confidence via real-life work experience to pursue their own paths. This provides youth with opportunities for career exploration and skill development. Internships may take place in the private for-profit section, the non-profit sector, or the public sector for a limited period of time, and it correlates to the youth’s career goals.
Mentoring
Youth Co-Op’s Mentoring program pairs youth between the ages of 15 and 24 with qualified Mentors to support the youth in developing social and life skills, financial literacy, as well as their employment, educational and vocational development goals in a structured way that tracks progress. The program offers individuals interested in volunteering the opportunity to share their professional expertise with youth to guide and support them on their career development journey.
