Youth Co-Op’s commitment to fostering a positive and supportive work environment earned them the prestigious Sun Sentinel Top Workplaces Award. This recognition highlights the organization’s dedication not only to the communities they serve but also to the well-being and professional growth of their staff.
Supporting Students and Preparing the Next Generation
In their ongoing mission to empower the youth, Youth Co-Op provided over 50 students with backpacks and school supplies during a special giveaway event. This initiative ensured that students had the necessary tools to succeed as they embarked on the new academic year.
Additionally, through their extensive youth programs, Youth Co-Op provided academic support and tutoring to students ranging in age from 6 to 18 years. These programs have been instrumental in helping students improve academically, gain confidence, and pursue higher education opportunities.
Promoting Educational and Employment Opportunities
Youth Co-Op continued to offer a variety of programs that promote educational and career advancement for individuals looking to enhance their workplace skills. By providing access to both educational and employment resources, Youth Co-Op played a vital role in helping participants obtain better jobs and improve their economic stability.
Excellence in Education: Youth Co-Op Charter School and Youth Co-Op Preparatory High School
Youth Co-Op Preparatory High School, a cornerstone of our organization’s educational mission, was honored as a Bronze Member of the 2024 AP School Honor Roll. This prestigious recognition highlights the school’s dedication to academic excellence and its commitment to preparing students for success in advanced placement courses and college-level academics.
Many students were recognized for their language proficiency, earning Gold Seal Biliteracy awards and receiving Silver Seal Biliteracy awards, reflecting our students’ global readiness and cultural competence. In addition, Youth Co-Op Preparatory High School students graduated with both a high school diploma and an associate degree from Miami Dade College through the dual enrollment program, showcasing their ambition and outstanding academic performance.
Youth Co-Op Charter School also celebrated a 100% graduation rate and significant progress during the 2023-2024 school year. This achievement reflects the dedication of our faculty and the perseverance of our students.
Artistic and Cultural Achievements
Youth Co-Op’s commitment to fostering creativity and cultural expression was further exemplified when a student won the Congressional Art Competition. In recognition of this outstanding accomplishment, Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart presented the student with a flag that had flown over the nation’s capital—a symbol of national pride.

Serving the Community: Food Drives and Holiday Spirit
In true spirit of giving, Youth Co-Op organized a successful food drive, which made it possible for many of the organization’s client families to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. This initiative demonstrated the power of community involvement and the positive impact that the organization can have in addressing local needs.
Additionally, during the holiday season, Youth Co-Op staff, along with community supporters, collected and distributed gifts to children and teenagers participating in the organization’s programs. This gesture of kindness brought joy and warmth to families who may otherwise have faced a difficult holiday season.
